summer is passing us on by, but as this city never sleeps, there are still events happening all over the place. to visit ‘the new york coffee festival’ was an amazing whirlwind of an experience. as we were searching for the venue on 26th street we noticed donuts being moved into a building on lexington ave. we walked desperately around the corner, where the sweets were being moved and saw the armory, a huge building! we entered to the venue and suddenly all the dots were joined. we saw the dough doughnuts stand in all its glory sitting amongst the many other roasters stands. we did not even know where to begin, so just walked around, inhaling the delicious aroma of ground coffee! We were instantly caffeinated just from the amazing smell.
the barn (from berlin), but unfortunately the biggest stand was still the starbucks one.
we found some treasures like devocion, whose mission is to change the way colombian coffee is drunk around the world. to help accomplish their goal, they developed clever branding for their cold brew coffees, which were served in amazing little amber bottles that evoke the memory of antique medicine glasses… and it is true that coffee cures my nerves better than any pill.
we drank way too much coffee, but this event only happens once a year, so we had to take advantage of it. there is still time to partake in this coffee experience for one more day. if you are free, treat yourself to an amazing sunday breakfast and leave with so much energy it will last you to the end of the week!
hope everyone enjoys each sip of coffee!
